I am going to school for CMT and plan to run my own spa. What credentials/education would i need to be able to do, light chemical peels, dermabrasion, minor laser therapy, permanent tattoos etc… and where do i find these schools. I do not want to do hair or anything like that, no cutting or anything, just work with skin and massage. It is becoming very popular now.

esthetician course. 600 hours at a beauty college. This will give you a license as an Esthetician to do facials, waxing, & some body treatments. Usually laser treatments are done under a doctors supervision or a nurse.
    Good Luck!
Also permanent Make up (tatooing) is a separate course.

Only licensed professionals can use use a professional microdermabrasion machines (dermatologists, surgeons, nurses, trained aesthetician, etc).

Microdermabrasion training is relatively new in the US and the UK and regulations regarding certification for performing microderm vary from state to state and country to country. It’s important to understand that training and regulations are necessary because a microderm abrasion machine can damage the skin if it’s not used properly. You need specific knowledge and skills to perform it correctly.

    Good luck.
