Dr. Michelle Ho of Baylor Health Care System answers Baylor’s Facebook fans’ questions about seasonal depression in this week’s “Ask the Expert.” Seasonal affective disorder is a subtype of anxiety and depression. Those impacted feel blue with the come and go of the seasons. It can often be treated with light therapy. So be sure to get plenty of sunshine this time of year! To submit your questions for the next “Ask the Expert” feature, email them to AsktheExpert@baylorhealth.edu or post them to Baylor’s page on Facebook at www.facebook.com
amacorp.com AMA Corp’s SpectraLift™ Laser Face Lift, utilizes a synergistic combination of multiple types of lasers (”modalities”) in order to target all the layers of the skin and all their component tissue types, resulting in effective treatment of these symptoms. The process is extraordinarily comprehensive, comprising five to eight distinct procedures wrapped into one synergistic treatment. The overall treatment is remarkably fast, requiring between 60-90 minutes and causes no excessive side effects. The typical patient will experience minimal downtime returning to work the very next day, while some prefer to take 2-3 days off. To enhance the results of the treatment and promote the overall long-term health of your skin, specially formulated medical-grade moisturizers and skin-care regimens (and makeup if desired) are applied to the treated area immediate after each procedure, allowing patience to return to their normal activities without interruption (minimal “down-time”). A video Spore Medical http produced for American Medical Aesthetics featuring their work utilizing lasers to provide a non-surgical facelift.
Did it work? What product did you use (brand and model if possible)? I’m going through major depression (on medication and seeing a therapist) and I just came across these full spectrum lamps that are believed to help alleviate SAD (Seasonal Affective Depression) symptoms. I’m wondering if these would help me even if I’m not suffering from SAD (I think my depression was a result of an extended highly-stressful period in my life and it could also be partially genetic since other family members have experienced / are experiencing it (two sisters.) Do you think that this light therapy device (Apollo Health GoLite P1 Blue Spectrum Light Therapy Device) is the best in the market since it’s one of the most expensive (if not the most expensive) out threre?
