To learn more please visit us at www.ScalarWaveLasers.com cold Lasers, low level lasers, soft lasers. Sounds too good to be true, but a low-level laser therapy can help you with many conditions that involves pain, especially where traditional medication has failed. Although, the low-level laser therapy is considered an alternative option, it is the most effective option available without any known side effects. LASER stands for “Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation”. First invented by Albert Einstein (1879-1955), this formed the basis for evolution of the therapeutic laser in 1962. The first therapeutic use of a low-level laser was reported by Endre Mester (Hungary), who observed that the rate of healing of wounds accelerated by the use of low-level laser radiation. Medical use of low-level lasers has grown exponentially since and has contributed greatly to the wellness of humankind. Low-level laser therapy or LLLT is one of the most exciting and fast growing areas of alternative medicine in the recent times. After decades of research, today low-level laser light is used to attribute the same benefits to the human body in a more effective and concentrated form. This is possible because the low-level laser is a compressed beam of light form the red, cold part of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum. It is a single colored beam of light of a consistent wavelength and can be polarized easily. Due to these properties a low-level laser can easily

Shoulder problems…anyone with similar problems to mine?

Posted: August 22nd, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: light relief therapy | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 1 Comment »

7 months ago I injured my shoulder bench pressing. I was on a heavier day and when i completed the last rep, I heard several pops. Arm felt heavy and shoulder was very painful so I halted working out for 2 months. In that time I saw an acupuncturist twice (said it was a sprain) and he told me just to let it heal, ice it, etc. I went back going very light in everything but it was still hurting and after a week I stopped for another 3 months. I didn’t want to think I needed surgery and so I went to a chiropractor many times (said my shoulder was constantly subluxing) and it seemed I was getting a lot of temporary relief that I was happy with for a while, but as the time b/w visits increased I realized it was just that temp relief. I tried one more time for 2 weeks this time and it seemed to be manageable until the last couple of days. Finally I went to a sports medicine doctor and he told me the exercises I’d been doing to stretch from the chiro were actually making it worse b/c it my rotator cuff was stretched way too much already and that my shoulder was just moving around at will. Been doing rotator cuff therapy for about a month now and it isn’t getting any better…Sorry for the long history but my question is if anyone has had similar long term effects and if its time i get an MRI or something. Thanks in advance

Upcoming Pain Relief Procedure?

Posted: May 10th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: light relief therapy | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 1 Comment »

Ive been dealing w/ whiplash pain for 4 mnths. I’ve been on multiple migraine meds, abortive & preventative. Ive already had 1 series of occipital nerve blocks from the neurologist, who also said I have muscle spasms as a result of accident

Ive seen a chiropractor since February. X-rays show loss of my cervical curve. I recently had an MRI which oddly came out normal, yet I am still in lots of pain. I still get the migraines, & my neck is killing me on a daily basis.

I also go to physical therapy. They have tried many different types of therapy, light therapy, massage therapy, and others to no avail. My headaches have gone down in severity, but I still have them, along with the neck pain daily. They have about given up on me. We are now working on strengthening my neck muscles.

This week I get a cortisone shot to the back of my neck, & the Dr thinks it will help, but if not, next step is a nerve block in the spine. Anyone have experience with this treatment? I am quite nervous
