light therapy for depression?

anyone used these lights? Do they work? Anywhere to get them pretty reasonable? Very expensive, even on Ebay.
Or, is there a bulb I could use in lamp I have?

    They are called light boxes and they do work if depression is seasonal or light deprivation causes depression. They run fro om 150 to 200 dollars and they are worth investing in if one has seasonal affective disorder. Many companies sell them on line so a simple yahoo search will do. EBay and most retailers do not carry these because they are a specialty item. Occasionally one can find a light box at a place like the Sharper Image, but that is rare.
