How to remove scars from cutting?

Posted: August 28th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: laser light therapy | Tags: , , , | 12 Comments »

I used to be a cutter and now I have a bunch of scars. All I want more than anything is to get rid of them. I don’t care how expensive it is because having them is emotionally damaging. I’ve heard of something call light therapy or something that doctors do. Also laser or skin grafting? I’m already using all the creams and stuff, but I want them gone ASAP. Please help if you can, thanks!

I work at a dermatologists office, we always recommend Mederma (which can be bought otc) and some vitamin E (whether in pill form or in the form of a lotion). You of course, will not see results overnight but within a few months you should notice drastic changes (I had a horrible burn scar on my chest from wax spilling on me when I was a child and within 6 months it was almost completely gone)

It isn’t the creams, its MESSAGING them that makes your scars look less visible. Thats the only hope for them, trust me. Time also helps, but it doesn’t work a miracle either

bio-oil is meant to be really good! i don’t think they will go over night but you should see a change in a month or so!you could also ask for a consultation with a skin specialist or a plastic surgeon to see what they think, but before you do any of that have a word with your own doctor! he or she should be able to point you in the right direction!

After squeezing out juice from lemon, rub its skin on your skin.

I dont know where your scars are…but Ive heard of past cutters getting a really beautiful tattoo to cover up something that was a not so beautiful time in their life….could be emotionally healing also?

Yes you can do a blue light treatment, and it will help with the scars, VERY intense and invasive but it will help you get rid of the scars with success. OR, you could try a couple laser treatments if the scars arent too bad, that could do the trick!

And good for you for getting over that!
