Does such a condition have a name?..Is it treatable (without therapy and medication)?
Posted: April 7th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: bright light therapy | Tags: aversion, bright lights, conversations, diagnosis, lipstick, loud laughter, quot | 5 Comments »I’m listing out some symptoms…hopefully they will help you make a diagnosis
1. Discomfort in crowded places- feel irritated by too many parallel conversations happening around you. Distressed by loud laughter and shouting.
2. Frightened by people who wear lipstick and lots of make-up.
3. Aversion towards very bright lights
I have tried the "Agoraphobia" angle, but it does not fit the bill….what do you think?

I’m not saying this is what you have, but I have a relative who had 1 and 3, and he actually had thyroid failure.
Once his thyroid was treated, he was fine.
I think any disorder which appears psychological should always be thoroughly investigated for physical reasons first.
you have to go to a psychiatrist for a proper diagnosis. These symptoms dont really fit in any particular mental disorder.
I am agoraphobic, you are not. You may have Social anxiety disorder, if anything. It includes irrational fears (lipstick, huh, I wonder why?) and it also heightens your "fear" factor when you are in crowded places, intensifying your senses. Things seem brighter, louder, you may even smell things better. If it really a problem you can go to a cognitive behaviorist and they will teach you to react differently to different situations. Keep in mind everyone has some kind of issues, and it isn’t always necessary to "fix" yourself. Good luck.
1. Stay away from circuses.
2. I wouldn’t put much stock in any diagnosis you get from anyone who’d be willing to diagnose under these circumstances.
3. You think you have a condition and you want it treated without treating it? So it’s like you’re thirsty and you want to know if it can be fixed without fluids?
start eating more cellery and carrots… i had the same problem and after a month of eating these items i felt better.. i feel great now and can see better and my stool is more solid and greener looking
