Are special bulbs used for SAD light therapy? ?

are they just really bright light bulbs, what makes them different form other bulbs?

    no they are special bulbs that mimic uv light – my friends has them and it really works. they are expensive but worth it

    They are special bulbs that emit the same wavelength as & thus simulate natural sunlight.

    You could be in a room full of regular 150watt bulbs surrounding u & blinding u, but it wouldn’t be beneficial for SAD.

    Light bulbs that emit the appropriate wavelength of light are used for SAD therapy. The lightboxes are designed so that the light is directed angularly at the users eyes, without harmful ultraviolet radiation.
