Cant you move to somewhere that suits your needs better?? The best thing for me to do during those times is to keep busy and try to get as much light as I can. To do this, I make sure I'm in a very lighted room for 2 - 3 hours every day. This helps quite a bit. Otherwise I get so depressed all I want to do is sleep on my time off of work. I have really bad seasonal depression.
